Introducing the Festival of Festivals: Hornbill Festival 2024

Known as the “Festival of Festivals”, the Hornbill festival 2024 is one of the most vibrant festival of Northeast India, that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Naga people. This year, the Hornbill festival will return for its silver jubilee, at the Kisama Heritage village, around 12 km from the state’ss capital, Kohima. The festival will feature two renowned Welsh artists, Gareth Bonello (The Gentle Good) and Mari Mathias, adding an exciting international dimension to the celebrations. The collaboration highlights the growing cultural ties between Wales and India, with both artists performing as part of the festival’s musical offerings. The festival also aligns with the “Wales in India 2024” program, a year-long initiative designed to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries.

This year,  Hornbill festival 2024 will be celebration  of 10 long days. The cultural exhibition is expected to attract a significant number of visitors.
